Kimberlin Brown was taken by surprise when her character, Sheila Carter, was revived on The Bold and the Beautiful.
In an interview with People at the 2024 Daytime Emmy Awards, Brown revealed how upsetting it was when she initially found out her role had run its course.
“It was upsetting when I found out that I was going to be killed off the show. It’s a call you never want to get,” she recalled, adding, “You keep a stiff upper lip, and you’re very professional, and then you go home, and you kind of pour yourself a drink and think about it.”
Brown’s villainous character was believed to be killed off the popular soap in February when her daughter-in-law, Steffy Forrester, played by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, shot her.
However, Brown was “very surprised” to learn that Sheila was still alive. Recounting the moment she received the call to return to The Bold and the Beautiful,’ she described it as an “emotional moment.”
The 62-year-old actress previously shared how personally attached she is to her character, saying, “It’s my happy place where I have been so blessed to be for over 35 years.”
