Temperature hits 49.9 °C in UAE: What forecast says about rains in Dubai, Abu Dhabi

DUBAI – Scorching heat has gripped the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the highest temperature recorded over the country was 49.9 °C on June 21.

The highest temperature was recorded in Mezaira (Al Dhafra region) at 15:15 UAE Local time while the the lowest temperature recorded over the country on Friday morning was 23.1°C in Raknah (Al Ain) at 06:00 UAE Local time.

Today, according to private weather forecast portals, the temperature would hit 45°C today, June 22, in the Gulf country.

Amid the boiling mercury, people in the UAE are seeking respite from the heat as they are praying for rains in the region.

Rains bring respite for heat-stricken citizens but there is no relief expected for the UAE citizens and residents in next 10 days.

Data available on private weather portals, including AccuWeather, shows there is no rain in the UAE in next 10 days.

However, temperatures during this time period would hover between 44 °C to 45 °C.
