New York – India set a 120-run target for Pakistan in a crucial Group A match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in New York on Sunday.
After being asked to bat first by Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, India was bowled out at 119 on the last ball of the penultimate over. Rishabh Pant was the top scorer with 42 runs followed by Axar Patel who made 20. Skipper Rohit Sharma made 13 runs. No other batter could enter the double figures as India scored just 23 runs after losing five wickets in the last five overs. Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf bagged three wickets each, Mohammad Amir two and Shaheen Shah Afridi one while Arshdeep Singh was run out.
Imad Wasim has replaced out-of-touch Azam Khan for Pakistan while India has fielded the same playing eleven which beat Ireland.
