German supermodel Claudia Schiffer has shown her admiration for singer Sabrina Carpenter’s fashion choices.
The 53-year-old supermodel praised Carpenter for donning a custom mini dress version of a Versace dress that Schiffer had originally showcased at the Versace Spring 2024 show in Milan in September 2023.
Schiffer shared her approval on Instagram Stories, writing, “Love to see this dress living so many lives!” She tagged both Sabrina Carpenter and designer Donatella Versace in the post, adding, “@SabrinaCarpenter you wear it well.”
The accompanying photo featured Carpenter on stage in a green and silver checkerboard mini dress, which had been modified from Schiffer’s original floor-length design.
The “Espresso” singer, aged 25, wore the striking dress for a performance at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Her version of the dress was slinky and form-fitting, with a metallic finish, crystal bead embellishments, and mint green lace detailing her torso. The image captured Carpenter smiling and holding a microphone on stage.
In response to Schiffer’s compliment, Carpenter reposted the model’s Instagram story, adding the word “icon” along with several emojis and a heart. Carpenter also expressed her gratitude for the performance opportunity in an Instagram carousel post.
She captioned it, “Brina’s first wembleyyyy thank you @capitalofficial for having us at your summertime ball. 80,000 of you singing along did not feel real :’) you’ve been so good to me UK thank you!!!!”
Interestingly, the eye-catching Versace dress has had more than one moment in the spotlight. In September, actress Anne Hathaway was seen wearing the same design to The Albies, an event hosted by the Clooney Foundation for Justice.
Hathaway, who had recently been named the face of Versace’s Icons collection, styled her look with silver pumps.
