LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the “CM Punjab Green Tractor Scheme” for farmers across the province as the government has taken massive measures to facilitate the growers.
The approval was granted in a meeting chaired by Maryam Nawaz and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif. During the meeting, a detailed briefing was given on the Kissan Package.
The meeting also approved various other projects to facilitate farmers in Punjab, including the establishment of the Kisan bank to provide easy loans to farmers.
Subsidy on Tractors
During the meeting, the chief minister rejected a proposal to give subsidy of Rs600,000 on a tractor. She directed the authorities to give 70% subsidy on small tractors and 50% subsidy on large tractors.
Number of Tractors to be distributed Under New Scheme
The government has decided to increase the number tractors to be given under the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme 2024 to 10,000.
The chief minister has ordered the completion of the first phase of the tractor scheme in one year.
Who is Eligible for Green Tractor Scheme?
Farmers who own six to 50 acres of land are eligible to apply for the Green Tractor Scheme.

The government is yet to share the details about receiving the application for subsidised tractors. Details will be shared here as soon as these are available.
