Princess Anne’s husband Timothy Laurence has given fresh update on his wife’s health after meeting the Princess Royal on Tuesday.
Sir Timothy, who visited Anne in hospital, said his wife’s ‘doing fine’ as he brought her ‘a few little treats from home’.
Royal commentator and journalist Kate Mansey turned to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote: “The Princess Royal is ‘fine’ her husband has said. After leaving the hospital where he had lunch with Princess Anne, Vice Admiral Tim Laurence said: ‘She’s doing fine – slow but sure.'”
Sir Laurence was photographed through the hospital’s main entrance carrying a blue bag containing some goodies. To a question about bringing anything for the Princess Royal, the 69-year-old responded as saying: “Just a few little treats from home.”
Anne’s husband broke his silence for the first since his wife’s injuries, seemingly quashing rumours about the royal’s health as it’s being claimed that she can’t remember how she sustained her injuries after the incident.
On Monday, Buckingham Palace said in a statement that “Princess is conscious and is set to remain in hospital until later this week as a ‘precautionary measure’.
