Prince William, the Prince of Wales, recently confirmed his Swiftie status by celebrating his 42nd birthday at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in London alongside his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
This special occasion, reported by royal reporter Roya Nikkhah on X, was held at Wembley Stadium during the first night of the tour stop. Notably absent was Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment.
This isn’t the first time the royal family has shown appreciation for Swift’s music. Earlier in the day, the royal guard performed “Shake It Off” in front of Buckingham Palace to welcome Swift to London. The royal family even shared a video of the performance on social media.
Prince William’s connection to Swift goes beyond just being a fan. In 2013, at a Centrepoint charity event, he spontaneously joined Jon Bon Jovi and Swift on stage for a rendition of “Livin’ on a Prayer,” a moment he later recounted with amusement on Apple Fitness+’s Time to Walk series.
Even at the 2023 Tusk Conservation Awards, Prince William expressed his admiration for Swift, jokingly suggesting to rocker Ronnie Wood that he would attend The Rolling Stones’ concert if Taylor Swift were also performing.
