ISLAMABAD – More rains with gusty winds are predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Tuesday evening/night, Wednesday and Thursday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over Pakistan’s upper and central parts.
Under these weather conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are predicted in the twin cities and at isolated places in the Potohar region, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Tuesday evening/night and the following two days. Very hot weather and gusty winds are likely in country’s plains during the period.
Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 40-42°C on Tuesday and 38-40°C on Wednesday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 38-40°C on Wednesday and 36-38°C on Thursday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry prevailed in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred at isolated places of upper Punjab and Kashmir.

Bhakkar and Kot Addu remained the hottest places in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 48°C. Maximum temperature in Dera Ghazi Khan, Dadu, Jacobabad, Sibbi, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala and Noorpur Thal was recorded at 47°C, Mohenjo-Daro, Dera Ismail Khan, Hafizabad, Narowal, Sargodha, Jhelum, Joharabad, Layyah, Khanewal and Nokkundi at 46°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 24 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 34 per cent.
