Margaret Qualley appeared at the New York City premiere of her new film “Kinds of Kindness” on Thursday, June 20, discussing its theme of relinquishing control and how it resonates with her personal life.
“That’s the whole thing, right? I think – I mean the whole thing of life, too, we don’t have very much control,” Qualley told reporters at the Museum of Modern Art.
“We’re always trying to reckon with it,” she added. “I’m always just trying to be like, ‘Okay,’ and on my car rides home after a day of work are just me trying to be nice to myself because you can’t do anything now.”
At the premiere of “Kinds of Kindness,” Margaret Qualley, portraying Vivian in the film, wore a sleeveless white gown. The event was also attended by director Yorgos Lanthimos, along with co-stars Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Plemons, Joe Alwyn, Hunter Schafer, Hong Chau, and Mamoudou Athie.
“Kinds of Kindness” consists of three separate stories where the actors play different roles, each set in and around New Orleans.
Kinds of Kindness is in theatres June 21.
