Luke Thompson is uncertain about who will lead Bridgerton season 4 and has not dismissed the idea that his character Benedict could be the one in the spotlight.
“The honest answer is ‘I don’t know,’ but I know it’s so lovely [and] one of the best things about TV jobs is you get to really explore a character long-form like that and sort of fill him in slowly,” Thompson, 35, said during the Friday, June 7, episode of The View. “As long as I keep getting to do that.”
He continued, “Obviously, it’d be great to really dive in at one point, but we’ll have to wait and see.”
Thompson has played Benedict, the second oldest of the Bridgerton siblings, on the Netflix series since its first season.
The regency drama is adapted from Julia Quinn’s novels, which follow the romantic journeys of each Bridgerton sibling.
In season 3, Benedict has clearly expressed that he is not prepared to commit to a serious relationship at this time.
The remaining episodes of Bridgerton season 3 will be released on Netflix Thursday, June 13.
