PESHAWAR – Authorities in Khyber Pakhtunkuwa on Wednesday notified summer vacations for colleges and universities across the region.
A notification shared by KP Higher Education Department said summer vacations will start from June 15 and will continue till August 31, 2024, in the summer zone.
In the winter zone, the holidays will start from July 1 to 31. The colleges and universities in this region will reopen on August 1, 2024. It said “Consequent upon the above, the examination schedule notified by the Universities, Higher Education Institutions, and Colleges for BS (4 Year) and Associate Degree Program or any other, will remain operative as per the approved Academic Calendar”.

Earlier, KP government announced summer vacations for all public and private schools amid rise in mercury. the summer vacation will start on June 1 and continue until August 31 for primary students.
For senior wing, the summer holiday will start from June 15, 2024. In the upper cold districts, the vacation period will start in coming weeks.
Schools in colder region will close from July 1 to August 31. This schedule adjustment considers the cooler climate in these districts, ensuring a more balanced vacation period suited to the local weather conditions.
