Jinger Duggar, 31, spoke about her relationship with her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, on the “Unplanned” podcast.
Despite their differences, Jinger said she loves her parents and is grateful for her childhood, despite the difficulties she faced.
Jinger also discussed her decision to write a book about her experience growing up with the fundamentalist Christian teachings of the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP).
She chose to focus on theology rather than family drama, saying she wanted to avoid offending her family members.
Jinger’s book, Becoming Free Indeed, discussed her experiences with IBLP and her journey towards freedom from fear and false teachings.
In the book, Jinger also shared about her marriage to Jeremy Vuolo, 36, and how he encouraged her to speak her mind and be herself.
Jinger and Vuolo currently live in Los Angeles with their two daughters, Felicity and Evangeline.
