DUBAI – The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed the schedule, including dates, teams, and venues, for the semi-final matches of the T20 World Cup 2024.
In the first semi-final, South Africa will take on Afghanistan at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday (June 26) while Indian and England will lock horns in the knockout stage in Guyana on June 27.
South Africa finished the Super Eight stage at the top of Group 2 while Afghanistan booked their place in the final four when they overcame Bangladesh’s fight in the final game of the Super Eights in St Vincent.
India sealed their spot in the semis with an impressive victory over Australia while England cruised to a 10-wicket triumph over India at the Adelaide Oval.
First semi-final: South Africa v Afghanistan, Wednesday June 26 (8:30pm local), Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Tarouba, Trinidad and Tobago
Second semi-final: India v England, Thursday June 27 (10:30am local), Guyana National Stadium, Guyana
