KARACHI – Gold rates in Pakistan on Thursday witnessed drop after touching record high amid changes in market due to federal budget 2024-25.
Data shared by Sarafa association shows price of yellow metal moving down by Rs1,200 per tola on June 13, 2024. The new price of gold stands at Rs240,700, and the price of 10 grams moved down to Rs1,029 to Rs. 206,361.

mentioned that the reduction in buyers’ purchasing power led to gold being priced Rs. 1,500 below its actual cost. Previously, the association had discounted gold by as much as Rs. 4,000 per tola.

Internationally, the price of gold declined today after the US Federal Reserve forecasted only one interest rate cut this year. Spot gold was down by 0.2 percent at $2,317.38 per ounce as of 1053 GMT, while US gold futures fell by 0.9 percent to $2,333.10.
