Former governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishratul Ibad has announced that he will come to Pakistan. He said, he has two options – to do something or to be a silent spectator, but he decided to do something, ‘when, how and what’ will be announced soon.
He mentioned that his new strategy would neither depend on MQM not on the establishment. He said, there is no restriction on his coming to Pakistan, and soon he will be in the country. “Friends of MQM are afraid of me, because of which I delayed my return to the homeland,” he added.
He was talking to journalists at a local hotel in Karachi through a video link. Dr. Ibad said that now he feels that he should be active in the politics. He has been consulting his friends. “Now whatever I have to do, I will do after coming to Pakistan.”
He informed the media people that he wouldl give details about his return to the country at a right time soon. He specifically mentioned that he has never worked for the establishment. The establishment has its own mood. The is a possibility of mistakes, but establishment can never be anti-state, former governor said, adding, he doesn’t need the support of the establishment, he was disowned in 2015, there was a lot of pressure on him to leave the country.
He said, he wants to work for the economic and political stability of the country. He further mentioned that real Karachiites are more responsible than the People’s Party.
In response to a question about the past, he said, Nimatullah Khan was a very good person.
He said that reputation is being affected at the global level due to political instability in the country due to which foreign investors are avoiding coming to Pakistan.
PTI has emotional support but PTI’s government performance has not been good. He said that he met Shahid Khaqan and Miftah Ismail. These kinds of meetings are common, there was no discussion about a new political party.
