Chicken meat price in Pakistan move down by Rs60per kg; Check new rates here

ISLAMABAD – The retail price of chicken meat has moved down by Rs60 per kilogram in parts of the country including in the provincial capital Lahore.

The drop in Chicken meat price stemmed from low demand as inflation hit people opted for other edibles.

Amid the chicken boycott, the meat prices have been reduced by Rs60 per kilogram in Lahore and other Punjab cities.

Last week, the poultry meat was being sold between Rs477-Rs490 per kg, but over the weekend the price moved down to Rs415-420 per kg.

The current price of live chicken farm broilers is Rs265 per kg, down from Rs305 last week. Likewise, the price of eggs per dozen saw slight rise and the new rate sets at Rs258. A full crate of approximately 350 eggs now costs Rs7,620 – with surge of around Rs60.
