Billy Ray Cyrus responds to Firerose’s abuse

Billy Ray Cyrus has denied his estranged wife Firerose’s “mind-boggling” abuse allegations, claiming that it was exactly the opposite.

Cyrus “vehemently denied” Firerose’s claims of enduring “extreme” domestic abuse during their marriage in a June 24 filing, and pushed that she should present “strict proof” to make her allegations evident.

According to documents obtained by Page Six, the Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker claimed being abused by his ex “not only verbally and emotionally” but also “physically”.

Although Cyrus confessed to being “vocal, frustrated and angry” during a fight in May 2024, he accused that it was he “who, in fact, has been abused,” in the documents.

Cyrus insisted that his argument is supported by the alleged note of apology that Firerose left after their breakup. The “Time” singer apparently apologised to Cyrus in the “handwritten note” and asked for “a chance to make this right.”

An affidavit from Scott Adkins, Cyrus’ manager, which stated he saw Firerose—real name: Johanna Rosie Hodges—abusing his client was also included in the records.

The 62-year-old country star also claimed that the 35-year-old Firerose threatened to destroy his career if he divorced her, by lying to the public about the reason for their split, telling them that it was because she got a double mastectomy.
