Rapper Bhad Bhabie was mistakenly detained by the LAPD during a robbery investigation, as confirmed in a recent statement by the artist. On Tuesday, June 11, multiple police cars surrounded Bhad Bhabie at a 76 Gas Station in Woodland Hills, California.
According to TMZ, the incident occurred when police were responding to a robbery call near the 4500 block of Winnetka Circle. The vehicle Bhad Bhabie was driving, a Mercedes S-class with tinted windows, matched the description of the suspect’s car. Video footage shows the rapper being approached by several officers as she stood outside the gas station.
Bhad Bhabie, whose real name is Danielle Bregoli, explained the situation in a statement: “Yesterday we got pulled over by the LAPD. They eventually released us and explained they were looking for a similar vehicle that matched the description of a car involved in criminal activity. We are okay but a bit shaken up. Luckily my daughter was not in the vehicle at the time.”
TMZ reported that Bhad Bhabie and her boyfriend, Le Vaughn, were cooperative with the police. After a brief investigation, the officers released them. An officer is heard in a video saying, “You’re not a suspect here today, and the car matches the descriptions. Tinted windows, S-class Mercedes, plates.”
This incident follows a recent altercation involving Bhad Bhabie in West Hollywood. In March, she was involved in a brawl at the restaurant Toco Madera, where she allegedly slapped her boyfriend during a heated argument. The confrontation was recorded by a bystander, leading to further altercations involving Bhad Bhabie’s friends. The rapper gave birth to her daughter a few days later, on March 15.
