Matty Healy has been linked to model Gabbriette Bechtel since September 2023.
In a picture posted to Gabbriette’s Instagram stories on June 12, Gabbriette has posted a picture of herself wearing a ring, accompanied by a telling caption that has led fans to speculate whether the pair have taken the next step in their relationship.
In the picture the model can be seen wearing a ring featuring a dark stone, with matching black nail polish, and showing off her hand tattoos. In the caption, the German-Mexican model wrote, “MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY BRAT @trumanblack,” tagging her alleged fiancé, Matty Healy’s Instagram handle.
Gabbriette Bechtel attends Charli XCX concert
The 26-year-old model’s ‘Brat’ reference was a shout-out to her close friend and pop artist Charli XCX, whose concert she had attended, according to the preceding Instagram stories.
The California native was also seen with her close friend, Julia Fox, Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend, with whom she appeared in Charli XCX’s “360” music video. The pair were also mentioned in the song’s lyrics.
Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel’s relationship timeline
In early September 2023, Gabbriette and Healy were spotted kissing and embracing in New York City. They walked hand in hand through Soho and Washington Square Park.
Later that month, they were seen together at several New York Fashion Week events, and Gabbriette was present at one of Healy’s concerts. She posted a video of the performance on her Instagram Story, just days after Healy had left a string of red heart emojis on one of her posts.
In June 2023, four months earlier, multiple sources confirmed that Healy had ended his brief relationship with Taylor Swift.
The couple hasn’t revealed how they met, but they might have been introduced through Charli XCX, who is engaged to The 1975’s drummer George Daniel.
