LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued operations against illegal commercial use in Lahore.
On Wednesday, the LDA teams sealed more than 20 premises in Allama Iqbal Town for not paying commercialization fees. The sealed premises include Markaz Qaumi Bachat office, British School System, Paras School, private clinic and laboratory, auto workshop, estate office, electronics shop, retail outlets and offices.
Director Town Planning-III Naveed Bhatti supervised the operation which was carried out with the help of enforcement teams and Police. As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before carrying out the operation.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violation of building and parking bylaws, encroachments and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
