ISLAMABAD – Rains and gusty winds are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Wednesday evening/night, Thursday and Friday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal affect southern and central parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, windstorm/thunderstorm-rain is likely in the twin cities and at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar region, northeast and south Punjab, southeast Sindh and east Balochistan on Wednesday evening/night and the next two days.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 41-43°C on Thursday and 39-41°C on Friday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 41-43°C on Thursday and 39-41°C on Friday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, rain-thunderstorm occurred in Gupis 03 mm, Mirkhani 02 mm.
Turbat and Jacobabad remained the hottest places in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 49°C. Maximum temperature in Dadu was recorded at 48°C, Sibbi, Lasbella, Khairpur at 47°C, and Rohri, Padidan, Noorpur Thal, Mohenjo-Daro, Larkana, Chhor and Bahawalpur at 46°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 52 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 33 per cent.
