How many Pakistani pilgrims died during Hajj 2024?

Amid the reports, Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed that at least nine Pakistanis have died during Hajj 2024. Ministry also urged public to avoid rumors circulating on social media regarding the number of casualties.

Hajj 2024 deaths

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has not disclosed the exact death toll while constrasting reports of Hajjis deaths sparked concerns among people.

As different rumours were spread online, Pakistani ministry cautioned people to seek accurate information from credible sources regarding the Hajj pilgrimage.

The ministry also responded to the well-being of Pakistani pilgrims, including allegations of mismanagement during the Mina stay. DG Hajj turned down claims, saying the Ministry relies on information provided by the Saudi government, which they then verify.

Ministry of Religious Affairs further revealed that four deaths were reported in Mina, three in Arafat, and two in Muzdalifah.  Pakistan Hajj Mission remains vigilant during the Mashair days, ensuring the comfort of pilgrims, official said.
