High prices keep buyers away from markets

Although, Eidul Azha is just around the corner, cattle markets across the town see slower activity of business while citizens express dissatisfaction over high prices of the sacrificial animals.

Most of the people blame the severe impact of inflation this year, noting that animal prices have doubled as compared to the previous year. The traders mention their year-round efforts to raise animals, emphasising the challenges posed by exorbitant feed costs. Markets have animals in surplus but buyers are less due to unaffordability.
