ISLAMABAD – The Punjab cabinet has approved 25 percent increase in salaries of provincial employees as it is set to unveil the budget for fiscal year 2024-25.
Furthermore, the provincial government has approved 15% increase in pensions of retired government employees.
Punjab Finance Minister Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman will present the budget in the Punjab Assembly later today.
A day earlier, the federal government has proposed 25pc salary increase for public sector employees.
The 25 percent incremenet applies to employees of Grade 1 to 16. Additionally, the government has approved a 22% raise for employees in Grade 17 to 22.
Furthermore, pensioners will get 15 percent hike in Budget 2024-25.
