ISLAMABAD – The federal government will present the Budget 2024-25 today, June 12, with total outlay of Rs18,000 billion amid hopes that the federal employees would get significant increase in their salaries.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will table the budget, which mainly aims at winning a bailout package of $6 to $8 billion from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to save the country from default.
Latest update suggest that the government is expected to raise the salaries of the employees by 10-15% in the budget for next fiscal year.
If the reported proposal of 10-15% increase is approved by the parliament, the government employees would receive their salaries with increment accordingly from July 2024.
