ISLAMABAD – The federal government on Thursday informed the Supreme Court of Pakistan that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan is not in the solitary confinement in Adiala jail.
The government submitted additional documents before the top court and rejected the claims of the PTI founder.
The documents also included the photographs showing the former prime minister meeting with his lawyers at Adiala Jail.
The government also provided a list of the individuals who met with Imran Khan, saying that it is also not correct that Imran Khan was being denied access to his legal team or lawyers.
The response came after Imran Khan had apprised the top court that he was kept in the solitary confinement and that he was being denied access to his lawyers during his appearance before it via the video ink in the appeal against annulment in the NAB amendments.
The government said, “If the court deems it appropriate, it can appoint a commission to verify the allegations and facts presented by the PTI founder. He has been provided with the books, an air cooler, and all other necessary facilities including a TV,”.
