MUMBAI – In the Lok Sabha elections, where prominent Indian leaders participated, personalities associated with sports and Bollywood also tested their luck in the elections and achieved success by a significant margin.
According to the results so far, the Congress and its allies have won 232 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies have won 293 seats.
According to Indian media reports, other prominent personalities including Hema Malini, Shatrughan Sinha, Raj Babbar, Kangana Ranaut and Yusuf Pathan have also achieved success according to the preliminary results.
According to the preliminary results of the elections, Kangana Ranaut won in Aruna Chal Pradesh, Shatrughan Sinha in West Bengal, Hema Malini in Uttar Pradesh, and Ravi Kishan also won in Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Yusuf Pathan also succeeded in winning an electoral seat from West Bengal.
Furthermore, actors Suresh Gopi and Kirron Kher emerged victorious in West Bengal.
It may be mentioned here that in the race for the Indian elections, more than 2700 political parties and over 8,000 candidates participated, and many big names had to face defeat as well.
