HYDERABAD:

Medical Superintendent of the Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) Dr Aijaz Ahmed Abbassi has revealed that the Plastic Surgery and Burns Ward has been shifted in a renovated building of the hospital.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Dr Abbassi said that 19 air conditioners have been installed in the new ward which has 60 beds so that patients receiving treatment for burns do not face problems. He denied the air conditioning system is not available in the LUH or in its emergency ward.

According to him, the emergency ward of the hospital is providing round the clock services to patients. Dr Abbassi added that two ventilator-equipped ambulances and 15 other ambulances are operating in the hospital. However, he acknowledged that ACs or fans are not properly working in some wards and that he has already given directives to electricians to fix them immediately.
