May 28 postponed exam due on June 2

KARACHI:

The class IX and X exam postponed on May 28 due to Youme Takbeer public holiday will now be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, said Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BIEK) Acting Controller of Examinations Khalid Ehsan on Wednesday.

It is important to note that intermediate (grade XI and XII) exams are set to begin on June 1, and some examination centres will conduct both matriculation and intermediate exams simultaneously. Considering this situation, the postponed exam will be held at the designated examination centres on June 2.

Per details shared by BIEK, following papers will be held in the morning shift, IX Grade Science Group: Urdu Compulsory Normal Course, Sindhi Normal Course Compulsory, Geography of Pakistan (Paper I), English Literature (as an alternative to Urdu Compulsory).

In the afternoon shift, following papers will be conducted, X Grade General Group: Arabic (Paper II), Persian (Paper II), Home Economics, Household Accounts and Related Problems (Paper II).
