Dubai visit visa latest rules from May 2024; details inside

Dubai visit visa holders from Pakistan, India and other countries are required to follow the entry guidelines strictly as they can be denied board at airports for not meeting the requirements.

Travellers from Pakistan, India and other countries are required to carry 3,000 Dirhams in cash, valid return ticket, and accommodation proof while travelling to the United Arab Emirates for tourism.

A travel agent confirmed the strict implementation of the guidelines by the Dubai authorities, stating that the travller must hold a valid visa with a passport having validity of minimum six months. They must also have a valid return ticket.

The agent told international media outlet the Dubai visit visa rules are in place since long but they were not implemented strictly, adding that the UAE authorities have now decided to enforce them to curb overstaying and improve tourism in the country.

Pakistanis need to get a tourist visa to enter the Arab nation. Tourist visas can be applied through travel agents.

  • A color picture and passport – must be valid for at least 6 months
  • Submit original application form, available in Arabic or English, depending on nationality.
  • Include a copy of the Emirates ticket and proof of relationship if applying for a family member (e.g., birth certificate, marriage certificate, family book).
  • Share vaid CNIC issued by NADRA
  • Submit all documents in hard copy format
  • Pay visa fees upon application, along with any additional processing fees.
  • Travel to and from Dubai on Emirates or codeshare flights only.
  • Note that visa fees are non-refundable, and tickets are non-refundable once the visa has been issued and utilized.
  • The visa processing time is approximately 3 to 4 working days.
  • Entry into the UAE is subject to immigration approval.
  • All visas are valid to enter Dubai for 60 days from the date of issue, except for the 96-hour and 48-hour visas, which are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
